Sarah Poley

Sarah has been with Buchenbusch since the beginning and knows all the processes inside and out. As a designer, she shapes the clear, puristic look and ensures the highest aesthetic standards. She advises clients who are unsure or who want to implement an extraordinary project – because without advice, half the battle is missing! And with us, it's always free and without obligation.

Sarah also keeps an eye on the production process: She monitors the quality of our concrete displays (because the perfect surface texture is crucial!) and develops new designs together with Daniel. Thanks to her expertise in design software, she also creates photorealistic drafts—particularly valuable for larger projects, as customers can see in advance what their brique display will look like.

Sarah is also our laser engraving expert. After countless tests, she has found the perfect settings for every application. While speed is always possible, perfect is better.

Sarah also handles complex orders with ease, such as the coordinated delivery of evaluation charts to various branches of a health insurance company—with different billing addresses and staggered deliveries. Her organizational skills ensure that everything arrives smoothly and on time.

A project close to Sarah's heart: environmentally friendly packaging. Her optimization has paid off – today we ship plastic-free, in minimal, secure boxes with 100% compostable padding.

Crafts, Strategy & Innovation

Daniel Bartnick

Daniel has always been a tinkerer. He passionately develops, tinkers, and refines new ideas – yet he initially took a different path: He became a businessman and studied economics. After ten years in various companies, he founded the design label Buchenbusch and the brand brique with Sarah. His business expertise ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes – from finances and legislation to new developments.

But his heart lies in craftsmanship. In the workshop, Daniel drives brique's progress – currently with CNC technology and new concrete mixes. He pours the concrete stands, cuts, mills, sands, and varnishes the wooden feet – every single piece passes through his hands.

He is also responsible for sourcing materials and maintaining order in the workshop. After all, without structure, there's no creative freedom—and without craftsmanship, there are no perfect brique displays.
